James & the Giant Peach :: A styled wedding

I feel like it's Christmas morning all over again! I couldn't fall asleep last night in anticipation for the James & the Giant Peach styled wedding that was being featured on the Wedding Chicks blog today.

I've been dying to share this shoot with the world for awhile now. When Itty Bitty Party Committee asked me if I was interested in photographing this vision of theirs, I didn't even need to hear more before I said yes. These ladies are truly passionate and inspiring and might I add super fun to be around. It was a glorious union of creative vendors that came together and brought their A-game. If you are able to book any one of the vendors for your special day, you will be guaranteed a stunner of a wedding.

I literally could not stop photographing the gorgeous floral arrangements made by The Little Branch.
Love the Mrs and Mr sign made by One Handspun Day!! She also made the super cute dip dyed lace bugs below.
The cake pops were delicious and made by Creole Prima Cake Pops
Was thrilled that we could photograph the bride in a Joanna August dress. Love her designs.
Lauren Jones did such an amazing job on the Emma Stone look alike model.  And the makeup was flawlessly applied by Elegance by Alex.
I heart Milk & Honey shoes. Who wouldn't want to design their own shoes!?
Fell in love with the willow trees in amongst the orange orchards in Orcutt Ranch.

Brian + Shannon :: A snow filled engagement session.

Over the holidays I had the pleasure of photographing my twin brother and his fiancé's engagement session. Having all grown up in the snow of the sierra foothills, we were hoping for a snowy backdrop for the occasion. We were not disappointed! It had snowed the night before and not a single flake had melted the day of. It was frigid out, but so worth it. This is hands down, one of my top 3 shoots. I love it so much! Enjoy!
Mother Nature helped with this one. The trees dropped some snow on them and it made it look like it was actually snowing. LOVE!
It almost looks like we planned to match the cabin with the green boots and red shoe laces.
Thought it was only appropriate to hold a pine needle bouquet. :)
Congrats Brian and Shannon!
